- Accountable for period-end closing activities to ensure timely completion of Trial Balance, P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow.
- Deliver half year and full year operating and free cash flow targets by forecasting and tracking cash movements.
- Responsible to generate cash flow forecast (BATCASH) and ensure adequate cash availability to avoid business disruption
- Innovate cash collections and payments process flow and capitalise on technology to improve speed and accuracy.
- Liaise with external and internal auditors, tax agents, regulators and tax authority in respect of company's financial matters.
- Review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, corporate authority limits.
- In charge of managing bank signatories and local banking relationships with reference to directions from Group Treasury.
- Manage escalation from GBS, End Markets, cross-function and external stakeholders.
- Manage senior stakeholders including Financial Director, Senior Leadership Team and Area Directors.
- Ensure the team adheres to SOX controls, corporate authority limits, financial institutions' rulings and escalate findings.
- Stakeholders:
- End Market Corporate Finance Business Partner: informing about status and decisions to be made about cash flow forecasting trends, trade partner programmes, timing of trade collections, expenditures for tender committee.
- End Market functional SPOCs: coordinating and ensuring alignment and delivery of capital expenditure, excise payments, trial balance, month end closure.
- End Market Head of Finance and Finance Director: reporting and provide support on working capital and audit statuses
- Group Treasury: align cash usage, loan drawdowns from internal and external providers, timing of forex hedging contracts
- GBS Functional Managers and Banking teams: coordinating bank signatories, vendor management, online banking portals
- Candidates must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CPA/MIA etc).
- 8-10 years' of working experience with solid experiences across cash flow management and full set of accounts.
- Possess a good understanding of group accounting principles - ability to identify accounting issues
- Experience of working in an external audit industry a distinct advantage.
- Tax experience and experience in Shared Services Centre Environment is an added advantage.
- Exposure to MNC working environment and Consolidated Group Accounts will be an added advantage.
- Experience in using SAP system.
- Good English proficiency.
- Able to identify process and reporting improvements and proactively implement solutions.
