Accounts Payable Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization's Accounts Payable processes. Primary role and responsibilities include managing the payment of bills and invoices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in processing payments for the EMEA region. Incumbent needs to be able to work from 1pm-10pm (shift). Shift working will be compensated.
  • Oversee and manage a group of accounting experts within the department.
  • Support the Team Manager in strategic and resource planning for the team.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) that align with the company's objectives.
  • Provide routine progress updates and reports to the Team Manager regarding departmental activities
  • Serve as a project coordinator to spearhead process enhancement initiatives and collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless project implementation.
  • Provide expertise as a subject matter specialist to aid the Team Manager by offering insights, advice, and recommendations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for supported regions regarding issue resolution and escalation.
  • Ensure that process enhancements are implemented within the designated timeframe and budget.
  • Ensure compliance with document retention requirements stipulated by regulatory authorities in specific operational countries or business units.
  • Cultivate enduring relationships with the company's internal stakeholders and leadership team. Collaborate closely with other operational functions to ensure smooth coordination of financial activities.

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in end to end Accounts Payable within Shared Services, including at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Accounts Payable processes, coupled with extensive knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent, along with professional qualifications such as ACCA/CPA/MIA.
  • Able to work from 1pm to 10pm daily to support EMEA region.
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English.
  • Possesses independence, strong interpersonal skills, and effective communication abilities.
  • Capable of multitasking, meticulous attention to detail, and adept at managing stress.
  • Experience with Oracle and SAP systems is desirable.
