Procurement Engineer

- Source, evaluate, and qualify suppliers for mechanical & electrical componentse.g., motors, actuator units, sensors, structural parts.
- Prepare and issue RFQs, analyze proposals, manage purchase orders, and track order fulfillment.
- Collaborate with R&D and engineering to align BOMs and procure prototypes or sample components.
- Negotiate supplier terms, including lead times, MOQ, and pricing.
- Monitor supplier performancedelivery, quality, costand resolve issues related to discrepancies or delays.
- Maintain records of pricing, supplier evaluations, and procurement data; ensure accurate entries within ERP or similar systems.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives and production ramp-up efforts through proactive material planning.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- 25 years of relevant procurement experience (preferably in engineering or construction)
- Strong understanding of technical drawings and material specifications
- Proficient in procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office
- Excellent negotiation skills for pricing, contracts, and delivery terms
- Analytical skills for cost analysis, supplier evaluation, and risk assessment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of supply chain processes and inventory management
- Familiarity with procurement regulations and documentation procedures
- Ability to manage procurement timelines and coordinate with cross-functional teams
