The Business Development Manager (BDM) will play a key role in driving sales growth and expanding the company's footprint in the industrial and manufacturing sector. This role is based in Kuala Lumpur and focuses on identifying business opportunities, fostering client relationships, and achieving revenue targets.
  • Identify and develop new market opportunities, clients, and partnerships aligned with the company's growth objectives.
  • Conduct industry research, analyze trends, and monitor competitor activities to stay ahead of the curve.
  • Lead the full sales cycle, including prospecting, proposal development, negotiation, and closing deals.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers, partners, and suppliers.
  • Collaborate with proposal and engineering teams to ensure commercial and technical viability of all submissions.
  • Take the lead on marketing activities such as campaigns, branding, and participation in trade shows and customer events.
  • Oversee customer service delivery to ensure alignment with ISO and internal quality standards.
  • Review customer orders and identify discrepancies or potential risks to safeguard commercial interests.
  • Mentor junior sales team members and contribute to team performance reviews and meetings.

  • A degree in Engineering or a related discipline (Mechanical, Process, or Electrical preferred).

  • Proven track record of closing complex deals and developing long-term client relationships.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-driven, commercially minded, and able to work both independently and in teams.
  • Familiarity with regional market dynamics and key players in Malaysia's Oil & Gas landscape
