1. Lead and monitor Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE) matters to contribute to a safe working environment, implement applicable procedures & guidelines and affect the compliance to statutory and legislative requirements to ensure conformance to the established Limits of Authority (LOA) to safeguard company's interest, image and reputation.2. Plan, monitor and execute capital expenditure (CAPEX) and operational expenditure (OPEX) of laboratory and perform mitigation plan of any deviations from agreed plan to meet overall budget cycle requirements & control the inventory system and procurement of chemicals, materials, spare parts, and consumables for laboratory by ensuring correct and timely acquisition of materials and services at optimum cost that meet the requirements to avoid loss.3. Plan, coordinate, control, implement and monitor routine, non-routine and investigative analytical services to produce accurate, timely and efficient result reporting to the customer (e.g. internal and external & analyze and participate in plant troubleshooting for continuous improvement to achieve operational excellence)4. Implement and monitor other quality assurance and control system applicable such as specific work process (e.g. Secure Quality Product) that is associated to the available management system.5. Take ownership on self-development by performing special task/ portfolio as per the company's capability development requirements & Lead and drive in-house training for analytical equipment, test methods and technology to enhance technical capability of laboratory staff.Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Pure Chemistry/Applied Chemistry/Polymer Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry/Resource Chemistry or relevant disciplines.
- An advanced degree or postgraduate qualification in relevant fields
- Overall 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Work experience/knowledge in the personal care/FMCG industry is an added advantage.
