TEA Networks is growing rapidly in the region, and thus looking for well-qualified Technical Sales Engineers to work closely with our broadband service operator customers. The Job: Technical Sales Engineer Seniority Level: Mid-level Employment Type: Full Time-Remote Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia What you will do: This is a full-time remote role for a Technical Sales Engineer. The Technical Sales Engineer will be responsible for communicating technical information to customers and providing technical support. They will also engage in sales engineering and activities daily, collaborating with sales teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities. Who you are: Technical Proficiency: Comprehensive understanding of AIOps principles and their application in WiFi network management. Proficiency in networking technologies, including WiFi standards, network protocols, and wireless infrastructure. Familiarity with telecommunications industry standards, regulations, and protocols. Ability to demonstrate how the AIOps platform optimizes WiFi performance, enhances network security, and resolves issues autonomously. Sales Skills : Demonstrated success in selling complex technical solutions to telecommunications companies or within the IT sector. Proven ability to understand customer pain points, tailor product demonstrations and presentations accordingly, and effectively communicate the value proposition of the AIOps-based WiFi platform. Experience in navigating the sales process within telcos, including engaging with key stakeholders, addressing objections, and negotiating contracts. Customer Focus : Deep understanding of telco customers' challenges and objectives related to WiFi network management, capacity planning, and customer experience optimization. Ability to build trust-based relationships with telco clients, acting as a strategic advisor and understanding their long-term business goals. Track record of delivering exceptional customer service and support, ensuring that telco clients derive maximum value from the AIOps platform. Communication Abilities : Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts in a clear and compelling manner to both technical and non-technical audiences. Proficiency in creating persuasive sales collateral, including presentations, case studies, and whitepapers, that highlight the benefits of the AIOps-based WiFi platform for telcos. Capability to conduct engaging product demonstrations and technical deep dives for telco clients and prospects. Problem-Solving Skills : Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and address network performance issues, security threats, and capacity constraints using the AIOps platform's predictive analytics and automation capabilities. Capacity to collaborate with telco clients to design customized solutions that meet their specific network management requirements and operational challenges. Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues related to WiFi deployments within telco environments. Team Collaboration : Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, including product development, engineering, and customer support, to ensure alignment between customer requirements and product capabilities. Willingness to provide technical guidance and support to sales teams, helping them understand the technical aspects of the AIOps-based WiFi platform and its competitive differentiation within the telco market. Business Acumen : In-depth knowledge of the telco industry landscape, including market trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory requirements. Understanding of telcos' business models, revenue drivers, and operational challenges, and how the AIOps-based WiFi platform can contribute to their success. Ability to develop and execute sales strategies that capitalize on market opportunities, differentiate the product offering, and drive revenue growth within the telecom segment. Education and Experience : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications in relevant areas are a plus. Proven experience in technical sales roles within the telecommunications sector, preferably with a focus on WiFi networking solutions, AIOps platforms, or related technologies.
