- Position Title: Corporate & Compliance Officer(Manager).
- Salary: RM 8000-10000.
- Location: City center (5-day week; Monday-Friday), Kuala Lumpur.
A conglomerate of diversified business activities in Malaysia and Asean region. The company through its subsidiaries focuses on real estate, logistics, hospitality, food and agriculture and marine sectors.
Business operating hours: 9.00 am-6.00 pm (Monday-Friday)
Job Responsibilities
Overall responsible to manage the corporate, governance and compliance functions of the Group ensuring that the Group's activities are in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and ethical expectations.
Detail job functions:
- Develop, implement and manage Group's corporate governance and compliance framework, manual and procedures that align with the Group's strategic direction and facilitate strong and adequate governance and regulatory compliance.
- Carry out periodic compliance review, assurance and examination programs on business and functional departments to ensure compliance/risk are effectively roll out the framework across the Group.
- Develop, implement and manage Group-wide governance and compliance training and communication strategy for internal and external stakeholders.
- Serves as the main contact person for the Group's governance and compliance matters.
- Identify changes/updates in legislation and/or environment and communicate the impact to the management and coordinate with business units.
- Malaysian, male or female.
- Possess a Bachelor of Laws with ICSA qualification or corporate secretarial license.
- At least 5-8 years experience in governance and compliance and/or corporate secretarial portfolio.
- Demonstrate sound knowledge in the principles of local laws for Corporate, Governance and Compliance.
- Familiar with company laws, regulations and procedures, disclosure requirements of local regulators, Malaysian code of Corporate Governance.
- Good command of English and BM, verbal and written plus conversant in Mandarin.
- Proficient in MS Office and internet applications.
