- Contribute to the development and refinement of the company's overall strategic plan.
- Manage Strategic Partnerships, including sourcing potential partnership opportunities and potential investments aligned with the company's overarching strategy.
- Manage M&A, Joint Ventures, and Strategic Partnership opportunities to facilitate growth for the company's strategic plan and New Ventures.
- Build and/or review financial models and conduct financial analysis to support business decisions and investment evaluations, ensuring adherence to best practices and providing guidance to Executives/Senior Executives.
- Prepare approval papers for investment proposals, encompassing market research, deal structuring, business case analysis, financial analysis, sensitivity analysis, and risk assessment.
- Execute and oversee investment deals, including conducting thorough due diligence processes.
- Monitor investment performance and ensure compliance with internal guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and analyze market trends and risks to provide insights contributing to the company's New Ventures.
- Support Managers in managing senior executives/trainees, offering mentorship and coaching to junior staff members, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Assist in executing corporate activities such as capital optimization and allocation.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or related fields, with a focus on strategic partnerships, M&A, and financial analysis.
- Strong financial modeling skills and proficiency in conducting financial analysis.
- Experience in deal structuring, due diligence, and executing investment transactions.
- Excellent understanding of market trends and ability to assess associated risks.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and effectively.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, cross-functional team environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and coach junior team members.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with the property development industry and Malaysian market preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- Fluency in English and proficiency in other languages such as Malay or Mandarin would be advantageous.
