As an FP&A - Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting various financial processes within the organisation. Your responsibilities will include preparing templates for annual budgeting, consolidating data, providing insightful analysis, and supporting the preparation of budget presentations. You will also assist in rolling out and consolidating weekly forecasting processes. Your role will involve close collaboration with the financial planning and analysis team to review and analyse monthly management reports. Ensuring the accuracy of these reports will be a key part of your role. Additionally, you will support in tracking all post-capital investment effects/impacts and providing financial analysis showing performance against approved investment financials. Lastly, you will participate in automating reporting/forecasting processes and enhancing business workflows.
- Be responsible for template preparation during the annual budgeting process
- Consolidate and provide analysis during budgeting
- Support the preparation of budget presentation
- Support roll-out and consolidation of weekly forecasting process
- Work closely with the financial planning and analysis team in the review and analysis of monthly management reports
- Review, analyse and ensure accuracy of monthly financial statements
- Keep track of all post-capital investment effect/impact and provide financial analysis showing performance against approved investments financials
- Participate and support in the automation of reporting/forecasting process, enhancement of business processes/workflows relating to financial aspects
The ideal Assistant Manager - FP&A brings a wealth of skills and experience to the table. You should hold a degree in accountancy or an ACCA/CIMA qualification, coupled with four to six years' relevant work experience, preferably in the retail/FMCG industry. As a self-driven and independent individual, you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are not afraid to take on challenges. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills make you a strong team player, while your proficiency in Microsoft Excel and finance and accounting software such as SAP (including BPC), Tableau, Cognos, Maxiplan enables you to perform your duties efficiently. Your ability to work under stress and deliver within tight deadlines will be crucial in this role.
- Degree in accountancy or ACCA/CIMA qualification
- Four to six years' relevant work experience, preferably in the retail/FMCG industry
- Self-driven and independent individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and report writing skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience in Power BI and Power Queries is advantageous
- Proficient in finance and accounting software such as SAP (including BPC), Tableau, Cognos, Maxiplan
- Ability to work under stress and deliver within tight deadlines
- Good understanding of with experience in retail operations
