
Cost Accountant

- Monitor actual costs vs. standard costs and investigate variances.
- Analyze standard costs of products and services.
- Oversee inventory valuation and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
- Review and reconcile work-in-progress (WIP) and finished goods inventories.
- Perform bi-annual inventory counts.
- Assist in month-end close activities including journal entries related to inventory, cost accruals, and adjustments.
- Ensure accurate financial records related to product costing.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
- Recommend improvements in cost control processes and systems.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Auditing or Accounting in a manufacturing environment or Public Accounting firm
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CA/CPA certification or progress toward certification is a strong plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in accounting standards (USAAP. IFRS)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
