Job Description:POSITION SUMMARY:Technical Services Manager is the person who is in charge of production planning of base maintenance, line maintenance activities, and reports P-145 wise to Base Maintenance Manager, contract and financially to the Accountable/ General ManagerRESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assisting Maintenance Managers in setting up and developing the scope of work, processes and procedures for maintenance by ensuring compliance with any CAA requirements.
  • Developing, managing and continuously improving a production planning system appropriate to the amount and complexity of the maintenance scope of work in compliance with applicable regulations and standards set by Skyways Technics.
  • Managing the relations with customers and establishing a clear work ordering system as part of production planning system to ensure that requested work by customers are clear to maintenance personnel.
  • Performing competence assessment of all technical services personnel by coordinating with Training Coordinator.
  • Analyzing the work orders to ensure that requested maintenance remains within the approved scope of approval of Skyways Technics.
  • Analyzing the work orders to decide and coordinate required competent manpower, tools, materials, facilities and maintenance data, and producing hangar visit plan accordingly by considering human performance limitations.
  • Establishing and managing the common work card system by either transcribing accurately the maintenance data onto such work cards or making precise reference to the particular maintenance tasks contained in such maintenance data taking complex maintenance tasks into account and making sure maintenance staff are competent on correct completion of work cards at the standards set by Skyways Technics.
  • Generating and assembling the work packages to be submitted to assigned Dock Chief of the aircraft by ensuring that the package contains all the requested works by customer and critical maintenance tasks are identified.
  • Continuously monitoring the progress of the planned maintenance activities by comparing with the maintenance plan, organizing meeting with Dock Chiefs and customer representatives to maximize reliability of maintenance plan for efficient operation.
  • Manage the control of the completed work packs to ensure correct completion/certification of maintenance work cards at the standards set by Skyways Technics, archiving the maintenance records for Skyways Technics and submitting the customer records on time.
  • Preparing and updating list of contracted operators, list of contracted organizations and list of subcontracted organizations.
  • Coordinating works to be outsourced to contracted/sub-contracted organizations, ensuring that all orders are correctly detailed and that requirements of the contract/order are fulfilled in respect of standards set by Skyways Technics.
  • Coordinates with logistic manager to ensure that airworthiness directives applicable to components to be fitted on an aircraft as part of maintenance activities or kept in serviceable stores are not overdue.
  • Responding to compliance monitoring findings raised from independent compliance monitoring audits in the technical services area
  • Precise liaison of Part-145 repair processes and detailed finding reporting Is crucial for the quality delivery of repaired Aircraft / attached components to customers and overall service level of company.
  • Resolution of technical queries to ensure smooth production process as well has a good technical communication between all involved parties.
  • Manage the Check/ control of register, and update Aircraft & Component Maintenance Manuals, Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, Service Information Letters, General Instructions, and Drawings used for maintenance and repairs
  • Manage correspondences with Original Equipment Manufacturers with regards to technical issues
  • Manage the obtaining of design documents such as Structural Repair Instructions / Structural Repair Approval Sheets, Repair Design Approval Sheet, Repair Deviation Record, etc.
  • Participate in various continuous improvement projects
  • To manage implementation of all related AS 9110 and/or AS 9120 Quality Management Systems not limited to, SOPs, Policies, Objectives, Manuals, guidelines and support the internal and external audits when required in order to maintain an effective QMS.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:
  • Part 66 Licensed Aircraft Technician, or
  • Engineering / Technical Degree in Engineering of Science related to aerospace or
  • Similar Technical backgrounds
WORKING EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Management experience
  • Strong IT systems skills
  • Team player
