Position Responsibilities Develop and maintain scalable backend systems for the ZUS Coffee app using Laravel, with occasional use of Golang and Node.js. Design and implement RESTful APIs to support consistent functionality across regional frontends and third-party integrations. Collaborate with engineering teams in different regions to standardize backend practices and ensure technical alignment. Optimize database performance and maintain consistent data modeling practices across multiple markets. Uphold code quality through clean, maintainable code and rigorous documentation. Participate in code and product requirement reviews to promote regional collaboration and technical consistency. Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, ensuring stability across high-traffic, multi-region deployments. Provide technical mentorship to backend developers in various locations, helping build local capabilities and best practices. Champion microservice development using Docker and Kubernetes, and support deployment consistency across regions. Work closely with product managers and stakeholders across different markets to translate diverse business needs into scalable backend solutions. Qualification and Experiences At least 5 years of PHP development experience, with 3+ years using Laravel. Proficiency in Golang and/or Node.js is advantageous. Demonstrated experience building and scaling backend systems for multi-location or regional operations. Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL). Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and distributed system architecture. Solid understanding of Git, CI/CD practices, and infrastructure automation. Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native patterns. Understanding of event-driven systems, message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and system observability. Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially in cross-regional and multicultural settings.
