Works closely with the General Manager to determine appropriate sales strategies in all market segments towards maximizing the resort revenues. The director of sales and marketing is responsible for driving revenue to the property through sales and marketing tactics.
The director of sales and marketing also creates an effective revenue management strategy to ensure the resort’s profitability in all market conditions through sales and marketing strategies.CORE RESPONSIBILITIES;
- Manage, lead, and develop the resort sales & marketing team to support the sales and marketing strategies and to deliver exceptional, profitable sales growth and results.
- Provide strategic sales and marketing leadership to ensure the resort achieves profitable revenue growth, continues to increase market share, develop innovative selling competencies, and builds a sustainable industry leadership position for the resort.
- He/she is also responsible for maximum occupancy of conferences and banquettes to optimize general business opportunities.
- Advise the resort management team on sales and marketing direction, competitors, marketing trends, including e-marketing and distribution technology trends.
- Fully understand how the resort is regarded in the community in conjunction with a thorough knowledge of the competitive situation in terms of business mix of competitors, pricing and rate structures, sales and advertising strategies and future resort planning within the community.

- Suggests innovative marketing ideas and proactively develops deployment strategies to continue to grow market share for the property.
- Develops strong community and public relations by ensuring property participation in local, and national tradeshows and client events.
- Identifies public relations opportunities and coordinates activities to augment the overall marketing communication strategy.
- Degree in Business Management/Hospitality Management or related fields.
- At least 5 years of working experience in a senior leadership role in Sales & Marketing in the hospitality industry.
