Job Summary To involve in assessing plants, operating units, and processes to ensure compliance with regulations. This includes conduction inspections according to predetermined schedules, such as periodic external inspections, out-of-service inspections, or intrusive inspections. To prevent the asset failure and providing credible evidence of due diligence for equipment safety and failure prevention. Job Responsibilities Ensure strict adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. To assume high responsibility for executing and overseeing inspection and integrity activities for static equipment and the internals such as reactors, heat exchangers, columns, pressure vessels, tanks, piping, and pressure relieving devices during both online and shutdown periods. Observing and monitoring equipment to ensure conformance to specifications and to recommend necessary process or assembly adjustments. Implement preventive inspection program for pressurized equipment, relieve valves, boiler, furnace, piping/pipeline, flare and steel structure including special initiative i.e. dead legs, injection /mixing points, hotpot monitoring, small bore piping, CUI mitigation and work in collaboration with Maintenance and Operations in the planning and execution. Manage inspection related maintenance and project work orders, along with associated documents such as inspection reports, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), NDT Procedures and technical documents through available systems to ensure thorough documentation and traceability of all tasks. Collaborate with plant owners and other disciplines to assess, advise, and propose mitigation plans for material, corrosion, and inspection issues across all equipment types. Execute or supervise third-party contractors in conducting routine inspection works, encompassing conventional NDT, advanced NDT, repair and fabrication tasks, PWHT, hydrotesting, and more. Evaluate and approve Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR) for repair and modification projects. To prepare and develop inspection work scope (SOE) based on RBI strategies, time based, or condition based for all pressurized equipment (with/without CoF) and piping for periodic inspection (CoF renewal) and Turnaround including Special Scheme of Inspection (SSI CoF) including CoF renewal activities. Collaborate with supervisors and planners to prioritize urgent tasks daily, with support from the production team as needed. Coordinate with contractors, maintenance and planning teams, and third-party inspectors to manage inspection activities during turnarounds and shutdowns. Participate as a member in cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth implementation of Capex and Opex project management. Carry out detailed inspection scope, strategy and specifications for special projects. Liaise with vendors and consultant both local and international. Evaluate inspection data for accuracy and quality in Enterprise Asset Management and other applicable applications to support site Reliability and Asset Management Framework. Collaborate with plant engineers, executives, and planners to identify essential third-party resources (e.g., scaffolding, lagging, fabrication) required to carry out activities. Compiling work packages for TAR and other designated projects. Reviewing existing procedures or developing new ones as necessary. Participating in plant/equipment investigations as needed. Report back on actions from HSSE committee or any other meetings or workshop to team members as well as superiors. Represent work team on site meeting Act as a supervisor for contractors Guide junior inspector as well as internship members to help them improve their technical skill. Train groups of people on technical subjects within own area of expertise. Fulfill any other duties assigned by leaders. Job Requirements Bachelor&aposs degree in mechanical or technology, or related discipline with min 5 years in Plant maintenance inspection activities and turnaround. Diploma in Mechanical / Material Engineering / Technology or equivalent with minimum 10 years in Plant Maintenance and turnaround. Certified by American Petroleum Institute API in API510, API570 and API653 8 - 10 years in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Chemical Plant Industries with 5-years hands-on experience in PM Plant maintenance inspection. Experience and involvement in CoF renewal and SSI framework is mandatory. Involved in Major Turnaround or Shutdown more than 2 times as client / representative. Involved in boiler or pressure vessel fabrication and repair work. Knowledge of corrosion and material engineering. Familiar with inspection data management (IDMS) and Risk Based Inspection (RBI) software. Sound knowledge with all relevant design and in-services inspection international codes i.e. API, ASME, TEMA, etc. Conversant in NDT&aposs method i.e. UT, MT, PT, RI Knowledge in OSHA Amendment 2022 Plant Requiring Certificate of Fitness Regulation 2024 and Skim Pemeriksaan Khas 2025.
