Sewing Team Leader

• Proven experience in industrial sewing, preferably with leather upholstery.
• Strong understanding of stitching techniques, patterns, and quality standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
• Leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate a team.
• Knowledge of basic sewing machine maintenance.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing defect-free products.
• Adherence to safety guidelines and workplace organization (5S).
• Ability to meet production targets while minimizing waste.
• Candidates that can read & speak Chinese is an added advantage.

• Lead and supervise a team of sewing operators in stitching leather seat covers.
• Assign tasks, monitor productivity, and provide feedback to team members.
• Ensure daily production targets are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Ensure all sewing operators follow technical drawings, work instructions, and sample templates accurately.
• Provide guidance and training to team members on proper stitching techniques.
• Supervise the careful handling of leather and upholstery materials to prevent damage.
• Monitor material usage to minimize waste and optimize efficiency.
• Verify that team members inspect leather pieces before sewing to avoid defects (scratches, stains, uneven cuts).
• Conduct final quality checks on stitched products to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Oversee basic sewing machine maintenance (cleaning, oiling, needle changes).
