This is a 6-month contract position, Monday to Friday, able to work on with shift-based working hours: 12h shifts 7-to-7 (7am-7pm and 7pm-7am); 5 + 2 shift pattern (5 working days, 1 off day, 1 rest day).Key responsibilitiesLab Analysis and Lab Management:
- Assist in ensuring the product attributes of quality and specification are met.
- Ensure process equipment and pipelines are free from allergen contamination.
- Assist in implementing GMP and HACCP
- Sample preparation Lab analysis, including physicochemical testing (e.g., pH, Brix, salt, etc.) and sensory evaluation.
- Test results entry into ERP system (SAP)
- Instrument calibration (e.g., pH meter, refractometer, etc.)
- Preparation of chemicals and standardization of titrants
- Environmental surface swabbing (e.g., ATP swabs)
- Product trial support
- Manage and coordinate benchmark samples.
- Consumables stock monitoring and requisition
- Overall management of lab orderliness and cleanliness
- A minimum of Diploma/Certificate in any science discipline
- Fresh graduate or minimum 2-year experience in analytical laboratory in food or relevant industry.
- Able to work shift rotation under pressure, with minimum supervision.
- Good knowledge of quality assurance and quality control principles eg HACCP, GMP.
- Ability to form strong and effective working relationship with QA and other technical disciplines.
- Ability to handle simple equipment like pH meter, refractormeter, consistometer, skills in titration, sensory.
- Ability in communication skill either in verbal and written form (Malay and English).
- Basic understanding problem solving / trouble shooting skills/ analytical skills/ good mathematic skills.
- Basic competency on computer program/ software such as Microsoft word, Outlook, Excel and Power Point
