Job Purpose The Head of Department is responsible for group Network and Security deliverables, managing the staff development, and ensure all deliverables are in accordance with the governance structure of delivery organization (DO) for Commerzbank AG The incumbent is expected to drive across cluster strategies, staff technical deliverables and ensure the service level agreements with global Commerzbank locations are met and be in line with the growing needs of the Bank. Key Activities Understand and comply with Commerzbank's Code of Conduct. Manage/supervise and guide staff; evaluate staff performance and provide feedback; perform staff hiring, disciplinary activities and employment related decisions (25 direct subordinates) Promote an environment that encourages cooperative thinking, team spirit and a service-oriented approach by allocating tasks clearly, delegating responsibility and providing pertinent information/feedback to achieve predetermined targets. Carry out managerial tasks with situational leadership style. Support subordinates to develop professionally and reach their full potential in line with the opportunities provided by the company. Organize and provide trainings and support to ensure high performance standards of Network and Security team. Participate in Committees and projects with specific task of ensuring overall compliance with strategic and operative targets/projects. Acquisition, ongoing development, and transfer of operational/process-related/Network & Security knowledge on assigned issues. Active tracking of given sub-processes, considering regulatory requirements and process control parameters. Application and ongoing development of the necessary skills to set up new, future-ready digital architectures. Compliance with security standards and ensuring stable operations with regards to products, services, processes, and systems. Continuous improvement of uniform and efficient process organization concepts. Implement innovative solutions and initiatives to enhance the security, resiliency, and reliability of network infrastructure and services, including critical network infrastructure. Study, identify, and evaluate emerging security threats and risks, and develop effective mitigation strategies, tools, and systems to manage those threats and risks. Implement vulnerability assessment and penetration tests on the banking network infrastructure. Also, to identify potential security vulnerabilities such as zero-day attack and to remediate them on an immediate basis. Stay updated within security forums/unions to increase cybersecurity awareness and readiness against arising security threats and risks. Formal Education Bachelor's degree or equivalent. CCNP/CCDP/CCIE preferred. Minimum of 8 years of experience in architecting, planning, designing, building, implementation and support of Network and Security infrastructure services in the banking environment. Minimum of 5 years managing a highly technical staff with ability to manage a team of experienced technical specialists and provide clearly defined goals. Must have ability to balance the need for technical expertise and troubleshooting skills. Extensive Cisco & Juniper networking skills including experience in all LAN, WAN, and firewall technologies. Demonstrate strong leadership skills with demonstrated experience building and growing teams that are geographically distributed, appreciate local operations, and bring in a global perspective and following standards. A team player with an ability to both lead and work with multi-functional teams. Hands on experience with IT support desk tools such as ServiceNow and HPSM Highly service focused with Demonstrated ability to successfully manage to SLAs. Experience establishing best practices which drive results. Demonstrated ability to lead projects while directing team members to adhere to timely deliverables.
