Position: Assistant Store Manager / Store Manager Location: Ferragamo - the Gardens Mall Report to: Retail Director (Expat) Team Management: 3-4 staffs JOB MISSION Assistant Store Manager/Store Manager demonstrates ownership for the store by maximising store productivity and profitability through team-building and staff development and goal attainment. He/she will develops and plans to achieve sales and productivity goals, and closely supports the Retail Director to evaluate market information and create strategies that can impact store results. Leads by example, sets the tone for the store, and provides feedback to their team that will result in more efficient, productive, and profitable stores that exceed Ferragamo's standards. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES NETWORK & CLIENT MANAGEMENT To develop and promote a loyal clientele according to the sales and brand strategy (client-telling) Ambassador for the brand within his/her market, being responsible for the stores external relations within its competitive environment - marketing, merchandising, local activities etc. Market studies (competitors, customers etc.) 2.DETERMINATION OF THE "SUCCESSFUL STORE" OBJECTIVES Defining the annual sales targets/budget/forecast Determine and monitor objectives and sales targets according to budget/forecasts on a daily, weekly and monthly basis Optimizing the store contribution Ensuring the fair and efficient rostering of staff with the aim of maximising the use of manpower on the floor; in particular during peak sales periods e.g. weekends, promotions etc. Maintaining the optimized staff to customer ratio, making sure that customers are looked after appropriately Optimizing and managing personnel costs and keeping in line with the set budget Monitoring all expenses and costs within the store in order to achieve positive store contribution and be in line with the set budget objective Pushing ongoing growth of the store's turnover Maintenance of store in line with budget requirements Identifying store investments and making appropriate suggestion to the ROD Managing store operations: Replenishment, regular and year-end inventories, visual merchandising, etc. Health, safety and security regulations: Ongoing control of store security, compliance with procedures. Pro-activity on store attribution Managing administration tasks and reporting Guarantee financial results of the store through effective management of margins, stock and personnel costs 3.LEADERSHIP & STAFF MANAGEMENT Making sure that retail team member profiles match accordingly to the sales and brand strategy Taking ongoing actions around motivation the team according to the sales and brand strategy and acting as their mentor Recruitment, evaluation and career development of Management Team and retail team members in cooperation with the regional ROD and HR Compliance with Grooming Standards Training and development of the retail team members in order to achieve best business results Guarantee an optimum relay of information within the store and an excellent and transparent ascending and descending communication flow 4. STOCK MANAGEMENT Assist in inventory management. Ensure stock rooms are kept neat and tidy at all times; stock should be kept in appropriate order for ease of access when serving customers Ensure all stock transfers into and out of the store are properly recorded to minimize stock loss Stock loss is kept to the minimum. PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS 3 - 5 years previous in supervisor, senior, assistant manager, store manager role experience in a retail service environment. Preferably within the luxury retail industry. Knowledge of cash register systems. Basic computer skills, including: - Microsoft Excel - Microsoft Word - Microsoft Outlook Ability to meet moderate stockroom lifting requirements and store climbing requirements Ability to manoeuvre sales floor Ability to clean displays to ensure professional presentation Be able to use English at work / speaking (work closely with Expat Director) Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members Ability to work flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business; including nights, weekends and public holidays Show more Show less
