TRP is part of 3rd Wave Media, a small online media company, and our readers are almost entirely urban Malaysians. We are currently looking to hire Content Writers based in the Klang Valley for our Editorial team (English). Aside from one general writer, we are also looking for a writer who specializes in Food and Beverages. Responsibilities Suggest topics, research, and write engaging and informative stories that appeal to TRP's audience. Write creative headlines, captions, and source or create visuals that complement the story. Communicate with teammates, other departments, and clients regularly via email, WhatsApp, and teleconferencing. Stay up-to-date on the latest issues and trends in media and social media and be social media savvy. Manage own time and ensure deadlines are met. Attend events, conduct interviews, and travel for stories when needed. The Food and Beverage writer should also be proficient in food photography and familiar with the FnB scene in the Klang Valley, and candidates without dietary restrictions are also preferred. Qualifications Excellent English writing skills (especially grammar) are a MUST-have. Basic general knowledge (regarding Malaysia) is also a must. A degree or diploma in a related field is preferred. Fluency in an additional language (preferably Bahasa Malaysia, Tamil, or Mandarin/Cantonese/etc) is a bonus. Fresh graduates or those with less than a year or two of experience are also welcome to apply. On-the-go basic graphic designing and/or photography skills are a plus. Candidates with personal transportation are preferred.
