Our team has direct end-user contact, and impact on the bottom line for Grab.Get to Know the RoleWe are looking for an experienced and passionate Software Engineer to join our team. You will be reporting to Senior Software Engineering Manager. You will work on the critical backend services that are used by Grab users to place a ride. You'll also will create amazing passenger app experiences that are used by Grab user to place bookings. We have exciting product ideas and engineering challenges awaiting your participation, and you will be the first one experiencing your own work in the Grab app!This role is onsite based in our Petaling Jaya, Malaysia office.The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

You will work with Product/Design/Analytics teams to understand problems, requirements, provide feedback, options, trade offs, and timelines.
You will collaborate with Android/IOS/Backend/QA/ML Engineers to brainstorm and implement technical solutions that are scalable and addressing the actual problems.
You will write code that is reusable, scalable and testable. Make sure features are delivered on time and with high quality.
You will review code and engineering specs, provide constructive feedback and aim to raise the engineering bar.
You will be responsible and responsive during on-call duty. Triage, debug, mitigate and fix complex issues. Assist on ad hoc queries from other teams.
You will mentor junior engineers and contribute to the team's overall growth and knowledge sharing

QualificationsWhat Essential Skills You Will Need

You have a total of 5+ years of professional software development experience.
You have experience with Go programming language.
You hav e writes extensible code for assigned tasks and pick the right abstractions that follow SOLID principles. Understand data structures and algorithms and recognize when to use them.
You have good Computer Science fundamentals in algorithms and data structures.
