Overview The Assistant Manager, Strategic & Business Planning in NUR will get hands on experience in the energy industry and is responsible for building our company's business pipeline. Primary duties include conducting techno-commercial assessment of potential projects, preparing business proposals, and maintaining relationships with strategic business partners. Key Responsibilities: Lead and support Manager(s) of Strategic & Business Planning in planning, organizing, and implementing plans and strategies. Oversee and coordinate the preparation for tender submissions, request for proposals, and quotations to customers. Conduct, review and/or present techno-commercial analysis and business proposals for management team, potential clients and other stakeholders. Conduct and present feasibility studies for new projects, including assessing cost-effectiveness, technical requirements, and regulatory compliance. Prepare market research and analysis on the power industry including political and economic outlook for various countries and regions, with awareness on economy, finance, law and regulations, and risk management. Build direct pipeline, establish, and maintain relationships with strategic business partners, regulators and stakeholders. Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as regulatory agencies, suppliers, and industries. Assist or lead commercial negotiations with partners, clients and regulators on key projects, contracts and/or partnerships; Participate and/or represent NUR in industry forums, regulatory working committees or consultations. Analyse and evaluate trends and development within the power industry including technology innovations, market reforms, regulatory drivers, and customer and competitor profiling Prepare various regulatory submissions and ensure compliance. Manage and deliver ad-hoc strategic initiatives and projects assigned by senior team member(s) Prepare letters and other legal documents related to projects, government relations, partnerships and collaborations. Support the development and finalization of contracts, agreements, and partnership documents for projects in collaboration with relevant departments and stakeholders. Any other responsibilities that may be required, in the interests of the Company from time to time. Qualifications: Degree in Engineering / Business / Management. Minimum 6 years' experience in business planning / project / business development, / commercial / energy industry. Relevant working experience in sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles, District Cooling System (DCS), Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and/or Renewable Energy would be an added advantage. Strong analytical mindset, ability to convert facts into insights. Ability to work autonomously and multi-task. Fluent both in oral and written Bahasa Malaysia and English. Good communication and presentation skills.
