Reports to Head Chef.
Responsible for daily food preparation; sushi rolls and dishes from the sushi bar.
Prepares raw fish and other sushi ingredients.
Works closely with kitchen and F&B service crews.
Checks all set-ups for the restaurant and banquet functions.
Replenishes and ensures stocks are up to the minimum par level.
Ensures the working areas and practices follow strictly Shangri-La Food Safety requirements.
Maintains the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen areas and equipment.
Ensures all dishes served at the correct portion, time, quality and temperature.
Requirements
Diploma / Degree in Culinary Art or Food & Beverage.
SPM with relevant experience may apply.
Minimum 1 year of working experience as Sushi Chef.
Good knowledge of various sushi types and sushi-rolling techniques.
Due to work permit restrictions, only citizens of Malaysia and Permanent Residents of Malaysia shall be considered.
