  • Reports to Head Chef.
  • Responsible for daily food preparation; sushi rolls and dishes from the sushi bar.
  • Prepares raw fish and other sushi ingredients.
  • Works closely with kitchen and F&B service crews.
  • Checks all set-ups for the restaurant and banquet functions.
  • Replenishes and ensures stocks are up to the minimum par level.
  • Ensures the working areas and practices follow strictly Shangri-La Food Safety requirements.
  • Maintains the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen areas and equipment.
  • Ensures all dishes served at the correct portion, time, quality and temperature.
Requirements
  • Diploma / Degree in Culinary Art or Food & Beverage.
  • SPM with relevant experience may apply.
  • Minimum 1 year of working experience as Sushi Chef.
  • Good knowledge of various sushi types and sushi-rolling techniques.
  • Due to work permit restrictions, only citizens of Malaysia and Permanent Residents of Malaysia shall be considered.
