- Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development of the multi-year strategic and operational plans for the region. Ensure financial alignment with the overall company strategy.
- Performance Management: Monitor and analyze regional financial performance against budgets and forecasts. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Oversee the creation and management of accurate budgets and forecasts for the region. Collaborate with country finance directors and other departments to ensure realistic and achievable financial planning.
- Investment Analysis: Evaluate regional investment opportunities and proposals, considering their financial viability and contribution to growth.
- Country Finance Teams: Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to Country Finance Directors and regional finance staff.
- Financial Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for the entire region, meeting internal and external reporting requirements.
- Internal Controls: Implement and maintain robust internal control frameworks across the region to ensure financial integrity and mitigate risks.
- Compliance: Oversee adherence to all relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and company policies within the region.
- Regional Management: Collaborate with regional management teams, providing financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Global Finance: Maintain open communication and collaboration with the global finance team at headquarters, ensuring regional financial activities align with overall company objectives.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential financial risks specific to the region, such as currency fluctuations or political instability.
- Systems and Technology: Maintain and optimize financial systems and processes for the region. Stay informed about emerging financial technologies and their potential applications.
- Talent Management: Contribute to the recruitment, development, and retention of skilled financial staff within the region.
- Degree in Finance, Accounting or related professional qualification. Those with Master Degree will have added advantage;
- Minimum 8-10 years related experience in similar field;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Candidate with experience in Regional role
- Experienced in liaising with bankers on funding requirements & project accounting;
- Strong commercial awareness and business acumen;
- Candidate possesses sound knowledge of manufacturing financial operations will have an added advantage;
- Excellent leadership skills and able to motivate and develops others;
- Aggressive, visionary and willing to take calculated risk for dynamic business growth;
- Attentive to details, alert and capable of identifying business growth & cost saving opportunity as well as process improvement alternative;
- Strong understanding of latest accounting standard;
- Strong reporting and organizational skills.
