Quality Engineer The Quality Engineer will be required to attend or ensure that customer requirement is fulfilled, as stated in the Customer&aposs Supplier Quality Manual. He/she will also be responsible for troubleshooting quality issue that occur at customer plants, as well as handling any warranty claims at customer service center when required. The Quality Engineer role will be divided into 2 specializations, which are Process Quality Engineer (PQE) and Customer Quality Engineer (CQE). Process Quality Engineer (PQE) Responsibilities: Handle NPI (New Product Introduction) activities including new model development and initial start-up line quality. Monitor and improve the in-process inspection system and product quality on the production floor. Drive continuous improvement activities using quality tools and data analysis. Support and implement Engineering Change (EC) and ensure changes are reflected in production. Analyze process and product defects, and perform root cause analysis, and recommend improvements. Conduct and review Failure Analysis (FA) on defective products and prepare related documentation to identify root cause and ensure effective corrective actions. Coordinate with the production team to ensure adherence to control plans, quality alerts, and work instructions. Manage equipment calibration and ensure compliance with IPC-620 standards. Customer Quality Engineer (CQE) Responsibilities: Act as the main liaison between customers and internal teams regarding quality matters. Handle customer complaints, RMA (Return Material Authorization) processing, and warranty claims. Conduct on-site troubleshooting at customer facilities when required. Manage and ensure compliance with customer specific quality manuals and expectations. Prepare and present FAIR (First Article Inspection Report) in line with customer requirements. Coordinate customer audit preparations, documentation, and on-site visits. Support Document Control Centre (DCC) activities related to quality records, standards, and documentation updates. Ensure timely and accurate communication of quality status, risks, and improvement actions to customers. Besides the above main tasks, the full array of the Job Description will be explained to the candidate at the interview. Requirements: In order to undertake & accomplish all the above, the successful candidate will need to have: At least bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality Management, or in any other related field, but with the relevant work experience. At least 2 to 5 year(s) of working experience in wire harness, wire, cables or related field. Must be able to read, write and speak proficiently in English & Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin is an added advantage. Strong understanding of quality assurance process and methodologies, strong communication, reporting, and analytical skills. Familiar with ISO 9001 system, quality tools (APQP, PPAP, MSA) and audit preparation. Able to lead a team of QA supervisor and technician to perform routine job. Able to coordinate and lead the team in meeting product certification and fulfill customer requirement standard. Knowledge in handling calibration equipment and IPC 620 standard will be added advantage. Show more Show less
