Reporting directly to the Head of Commercial Excellence, this is a role for an analysis who is a leader in their field.About the Sales Force Effectiveness Manager (FMCG) Role:
In this business critical role you will be responsible for defining the broad sales development strategy, delivering the highest quality service alongside the commercial department. You will also take the lead providing direction to all sales-related activities, including training, data analytics, competitor analysis and directory/league table submissionsKey Responsibilities:
  • Govern overall sales execution process of the sales force to comply with company expectations. This will involve sales visitation, sales execution and other performance analysis
  • Monitor and report progress, with a focus on sales key performance index. Develop corrective actions and continuous improvement programmes with Sales Managers of all sales regions and areas
  • Ensure quality data processes are in place to guarantee accurate qualitative metrics can be used and maintained
  • Establish performance measures for the entire sales organisation that is impactful to the business with focus on functional competencies framework and sales contribution
  • Strengthen sales incentives programme that appropriately rewards the entire sales org in recognition of their sales achievements
  • Build a high-performance management culture that appropriately addresses the development needs of the sales org pool of talented individuals
  • Undertake projects as and when necessarily in line with the business and company needs
  • Structure the competency and capability-building programme of the sales employees, which also include distributor sales force, merchandising team as appropriate
  • Develop and/or implement training courses that support company objectives, strategies and organisation capability requirements to drive business growth
To succeed in the Sales Force Effectiveness Manager (FMCG) job, you will need to have the ability to work effectively and co-operatively with senior business development teams, across borders and internal matrix.Key Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in economics, business administration or equivalent professional qualifications
  • More than five years' experience in sales force management and/or sales training with good understanding of sales process, expectation and best practices
  • Able to deliver results through collaboration and influencing
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Good facilitation skills
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and computer literate
