As a GL Accountant, you will ensure accurate accounting for all transactions booked in the location's books. You will prepare and reverse accruals to accurately reflect our operational activities.Key Responsibilities:Support the SBU business commercial teamsChallenge the business by delivering insightful analysis of the numbers and scenario modellingResponsible for all reporting for SBU and location as well as the calculations of main metricsAnalyze, interpret and communicate monthly financial results including deviation analysis, explanation of performance drivers/opportunities and main metric reportingPreparation and presentation of monthly P&Ls including overview of account profitability including customer rebate agreementsPlanning, preparation, and implementation of the annual budget process and Independent Merchant customersMonthly closing process - coordinate activities to ensure results are accurate and explainableQualifications:Bachelor's degree and a recognized professional accountancy qualification such as CIMA / ACCA / ACAMinimum 4 years of experience in general ledgerBusiness and commercially aware, ideally with experience of working in a commercial environmentGood knowledge of MS Office and a specialist in ExcelMultiple language skills English / Mandarin is nice to haveAccounting licensure, like CPAAbout us:Here at PPG we make it happen, and we seek candidates of the highest integrity and professionalism who share our values, with the commitment and drive to strive today to do better than yesterday – everyday.PPG: WE PROTECT AND BEAUTIFY THE WORLD™Through leadership in innovation, sustainability and color, PPG helps customers in industrial, transportation, consumer products, and construction markets and aftermarkets to enhance more surfaces in more ways than does any other company.
