This role will responsible to Managing all activities related to the global freight and logistic spend to support company import/export activities with most cost effective and efficeint methods. Accountable for the overall operation of the freight and booking and documentation team Monitoring freight and booking team running as efficinetly as possible with budget planning, staffing and people development, training and implementing appropriate technologies Ensure compliance with USA sanction, LATAM, ME and ASIA custom regulation Accountable to all the shipping document accurate & ready on time prior vessel arrival at POD Description Monitor and Manage freight and custom operation: carriers sourcing, booking, documentations, shipment on time delivery. Ensure timely receipt and submission of documentation for import and export with agents KPIs monitoring Responsible for agents KPIs to optimize the shipping process Deliver competitice oceanfreight product Identify opportunities for reducing costs, improving service and optimizing operations. Manage freight booking and tracking systems and process improvement opportunities for optimal tracking and cost savings Ensure sourcing solutions meet business needs by collecting subject matter expertise and market intelligence Establish contract terms and conditions and coordinate with legal to execute contracts with suppliers that optimize the relationship Manage and oversee the overall operation of the Freight and Booking team to ensure timely arrival and delivery of goods Assign carriers to shipment/ customers based on negotiated contracts as well as volume and demand. Analyze carrier performance according to transportation system. Stay up-to-date of global market insight that may affect the overall movement of freight. Drive departmental KPIs by reports to monitor and manage departmental processes to help ensure process guidelines are followed to meet customers' needs. Work together with departmental managers to ensure all International Logistics & Customers Support activities are coordinated as an integrated whole. REQUIREMENT Bachelor's degree and above in related field. Minimum 8 years' experience in freight management and Logistic fields Preferably a prior understanding and experience with MEAT, LATAM and ASIA Market Through understanding of ocean freight market drivers Experience in handling shipping documents and familiar with INCOTERMS. Capable, enthusiastic, and strong leadership, communication & people management experience. Fluent in English and Malay speaking & writing Good knowledge of SAP system
