- Manage the preparation of financial statements on monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, ensuring compliance with MFRS (Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards) and IFRS.
- Ensure adherence to Bursa Malaysia listing requirements, Securities Commission guidelines, and other relevant local regulations.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of quarterly and annual reports, ensuring precise and transparent financial disclosures.
- Manage the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning activities in coordination with business units.
- Evaluate budget variances and provide insights to assist management in decision-making.
- Prepare financial models to analyze business scenarios, CAPEX, and investment opportunities.
- Develop and sustain a strong internal control environment in accordance with regulatory and SOX requirements.
- Ensure prompt resolution of audit findings by managing internal and external audits.
- Record, evaluate, and refine financial policies and procedures to strengthen control and improve operational efficiency.
- Supervise cash flow management, maximizing working capital while managing foreign exchange and interest rate risks.
- Create and execute treasury policies, encompassing cash management and investment strategies.Handle relationships with financial institutions to ensure effective banking and treasury operations.
- Guide, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing finance team, promoting a culture of ongoing improvement.
- Delegate responsibilities, establish clear objectives, and evaluate team performance to ensure accountability.
- Provide training to support the professional growth and development of team members.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for investors, board members, analysts, and other stakeholders on financial matters.
- Compile and present financial information to senior management, board committees, and shareholders.
- Ensure clear and effective communication with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Assist the Group CFO in assessing strategic financial initiatives, such as mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and capital investments.
- Perform financial risk analysis and create mitigation strategies to safeguard company assets.
- Offer insights and financial recommendations to senior management regarding business growth, profitability, and resource allocation.
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or any related discipline.
- Professional qualifications, such as ACCA, and membership with MIA are required.
- A minimum of 15 years experience in finance, including at least 3-5 years in a senior management position within a public listed company in Malaysia.
- Experience in audit and assurance experience at large audit firms will be an advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of MFRS, IFRS, and Bursa Malaysia listing requirements.
- Expertise in SAP financial software and advanced Excel skills.
