Global Manufacturing Giant Seeks Strategic Commodity Lead based in Selangor Your new company A global manufacturing organization is seeking a Regional Commodity Lead to lead supply chain strategy development and supplier performance management for assigned commodities. This role supports global sourcing objectives and works closely with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing Engineering and Supplier Quality to optimize supply chain effectiveness. Your new role The Regional Commodity Lead will be responsible for developing and executing commodity strategies that align with global objectives and site-specific needs. This includes maintaining market intelligence through supplier engagement and industry monitoring, leading supplier identification, evaluation, qualification, and onboarding, and negotiating contracts and pricing strategies to support production and cost goals. The role also involves coordinating e-sourcing events, managing supplier KPIs, and driving continuous improvement in manufacturing processes, inventory planning, and capacity management. Additionally, the incumbent will develop and execute project plans, ensuring accountability across cross-functional teams, and uphold compliance with corporate supply chain policies and ethical guidelines.
