You will be responsible for Tendering of products/systems/services within a designated market in accordance with Strategy. You will build long term customer relationships and manage resolution to specific customer needs and issues. Identify and develop sales opportunities. This role reporting to the Service Sales Manager in Process Automation Business Area and will be located in Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia.Your responsibilities
  • Formulating competitive bids, taking into account best available product mix and appropriate technical and commercial considerations. Ensuring tenders are well documented in a timely manner and with an appropriate level of detail, including full and accurate costs
  • Managing the preparation of all technical and if necessary project management aspects of the bid, indicating prices and trading conditions
  • Handling bid planning, ensuring that inputs for editing activities are provided on time and according to established quality procedures
  • Managing external services to support bid/estimation preparation such as translations and governmental approvals
  • Collecting and archieving documentation regarding the offer/order and records assumptions and decisions taken and regularly reports the status
  • Identifying potential risks in the bids and in any related contract agreements across customers/channels. Providing information and/or participating in the risk review process in accordance with ABB policy
  • Collecting and collating all information needed to prepare the proposal, including both technical and cost elements. Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships
  • Identifying potential vendors for equipment and materials required in the project and technically evaluates supplier
Your background
  • Must have a degree majored in Automation & Electrical Engineering or any equivalent qualification
  • 3 years plus working experience as Sales Support Specialist in the Automation industry (Power Generation, Oil & Gas, Chemical & Refinery and Petrochemicals
  • Prior and proven experience working ABB portfolio, especially for Control System and Electrical solutions will be considered as a plus
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills, both verbal and written
  • Business level in verbal and written English
  • Must possess the ability to work in teams, Collaborative working with global affiliates, and have a strong sense of responsibility
  • Willingness to travel about 50%
