- Release Planning and Coordination. A DevOps release manager starts by creating a comprehensive release plan, outlining the scope, timeline, and dependencies.
- Developing and maintaining the release management process, including the coordination of all aspects of the release lifecycle.
- Effective communication is paramount for a successful release management process.
- Supporting training and communication as part of change management. Activities may include designing or delivering specialized training resources to appropriate resources.
- Own the entire change and release lifecycle, collaborating with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to guarantee proper testing, documentation, and scheduling.
- Lead and co-ordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment Plans and checklists.
- Release management allows for distinctive but connected aspects of a project like design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and more.
- Coordinate planning and preparation for Deployment
- Proficient in. Methods and techniques for the assessment and management of business risk including safety-related risk.
- A DevOps release manager should be well-versed in risk management and compliance practices.
- Acts as process owner for the change management process. Leads the assessment and analysis of change based on requests for change.
- Regular communication and updates ensure everyone stays informed and accountable throughout the Salesforce release process.
