This role contributes to secure access management, supports compliance efforts, and helps improve operational efficiency. The IAM Engineer reports to the Head of IT Cybersecurity & Compliance and works closely with other IT and business teams.Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.What you will doIdentity Lifecycle Management: Design, implement, and manage robust identity lifecycle processes to ensure accurate and timely provisioning of user access rights and roles across all enterprise systems and applications, directly supporting compliance and security objectives.Access Governance & Automation: Own and streamline access request, provisioning, de-provisioning, and certification workflows to minimize manual effort, reduce human error, and enforce the principle of least privilege during onboarding, offboarding, and role transitions.Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for the IGA vendor, managing the relationship, overseeing product enhancements, and translating business stakeholder requirements (e.g., HR, Finance, IT) into actionable technical solutions within the IAM framework.System Integration & Engineering: Architect and implement secure integrations between the IGA platform and critical enterprise applications (e.g., Workday, SAP, Salesforce) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), ensuring seamless data flow and policy enforcement.Proactive Monitoring & Reporting: Continuously monitor IAM systems for performance issues and security anomalies. Develop and deliver comprehensive metrics and audit-ready reports to demonstrate compliance to internal and external auditors.Advanced Support & Troubleshooting: Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for resolving complex IAM issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing permanent corrective actions to improve system stability.Process Documentation & Governance: Develop and maintain detailed documentation for all IAM processes, system configurations, and workflows. Establish a governance model to ensure ongoing adherence to security policies and operational procedures.Security & Compliance Advocacy: Proactively ensure IAM practices adhere to industry best practices (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and comply with regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX, GDPR). Lead readiness efforts for all internal and external security audits.What you will needBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.With 5 years + of experience in IT support, system administration, or cybersecurity preferred.Basic understanding of IAM concepts and technologies (e.g., Active Directory, Azure AD, SSO, MFA).Familiarity with identity protocols (e.g., SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect) is a plus.Some experience with IAM platforms (e.g., Okta, SailPoint, Ping Identity) preferred.Ability to write basic scripts (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is a plus.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Good communication and teamwork abilities.Willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic IT security environment.Accountable for supporting secure and efficient identity and access management across Nexperia’s IT systems.Contributes to the protection of sensitive data and systems through effective IAM practices.Talent acquisition based on Nexperia vacancies is not appreciated.
