
Commodity Manager - Mechanical

- Drive procurement strategies for mechanical commodities in alignment with local, regional, and global operational needs, supporting PML initiatives and overall business goals.
- Evaluate and develop supplier manufacturing capabilities and technology roadmaps to support future product requirements. Oversee FAI processes, new source qualifications, and IQC-related issue resolution.
- Build and maintain a competitive, sustainable supply base that meets cost, quality, and execution standards, while ensuring compliance with corporate policies and ethical procurement practices.
- Collaborate with commodity leaders and internal teams on material expediting, VMI, Incoterms, and provide technical support to engineering and operational sites on mechanical components.
- Monitor price trends, new product developments, and manufacturing processes to enhance supplier performance and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in supply chain management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in mechanical or electronics industries.
- Proven ability to operate effectively in high-mix, low-volume procurement settings.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across all organizational levels.
- Experience working in self-directed or cross-functional teams is an advantage.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
