Responsible for the day to day operations to ensure smooth operation and efficiency of the Engineering Department.
- Reports to the General Manager on all matters affecting the operations of the hotel. Advise and confers with management on effective use of heat, light and power and proper application of repair and maintenance plan and procedures.
- To plan, direct, control co-ordinate and participate in all areas and activities of the department.
- To Issue and receive licenses, permits, certificates and approvals related to operation of equipment in the hotels.
- Recommends changes or more efficient use of mechanical equipment, tests numerous products and equipment, new and those in use, to determine adaptability and suitability.
- To keep the cost at a minimum and will ensure that the hotel standards of service and cleanliness of the entire hotel is maintained.
- Hiring, training and development, supervision, and disciplining of all staff in the Engineering Department, such as duty engineers, plumber, painter, joiner and apprentice(s).
- Understanding and experience of the following is essential, Fire, Life & Safety Systems, H.T & L.V Electrical Systems, H.V.A.C Systems, Refrigeration, Diesel Generators, Water Treatment, Elevators, Boilers, Fire Risk Management, Laundry Equipment, kitchen Equipment and Sewerage Treatment
- Strong leadership skills in motivating and managing the team to drive for results
- Basic Salary: MYR 28,500 Monthly
