Job Summary: The Senior Executive - Compensation & Benefits (Payroll) will manage end-to-end payroll processing alongside the administration of employee compensation and benefits programs. This role ensures accurate payroll execution, statutory compliance, and supports strategic compensation initiatives to attract and retain talent. Key Responsibilities: 1. Payroll Management: Process monthly payroll accurately and on time for all employees, ensuring adherence to company policies and statutory requirements. Manage payroll records including attendance, leave, deductions, bonuses, and reimbursements. Coordinate with HR and Finance teams for employee data updates, salary revisions, and statutory filings (PF, ESI, TDS, Professional Tax, etc.). Respond to employee payroll queries and resolve discrepancies promptly. Support payroll audits and prepare payroll reports for management. 2. Compensation & Benefits Administration: Assist in designing, implementing, and administering employee compensation programs aligned with company policies and market trends. Manage employee benefits programs such as health insurance, gratuity, leave encashment, and other perks. Conduct salary benchmarking and market research to support compensation strategy. Maintain accurate records of employee compensation and benefits. Coordinate with insurance providers, benefits vendors, and third parties for program administration. Support the preparation of compensation and benefits reports and analyses for leadership. 3. Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws, payroll-related legislation, and tax regulations. Stay updated with changes in statutory requirements and advise management accordingly. Prepare and submit statutory returns and filings on time. 4. Process Improvement: Participate in payroll system implementation and upgrades. Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Human Resources, Finance, or related field. 3-5 years experience in payroll processing and compensation & benefits administration. Strong knowledge of payroll software and statutory compliance (PF, ESI, TDS, etc.). Experience with compensation benchmarking and benefits administration. Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Familiarity with labor laws and employee welfare schemes.
