About The Role The Data Centre Shift Engineer ensure the safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations of the data center infrastructure activities precisely during assigned shifts. This includes performing routine checks, preventive maintenance, and first-level troubleshooting on all mechanical, electrical, fire protection, and cooling systems. Job Responsibilities: Ensure continuity and service availability of critical infrastructure during shift operations Ensure coordination, execution and monitoring of 52 Weeks calendar updates for all plan preventive maintenance, Annual Shut Down, Fire drill and other related activities Promote knowledge sharing, team coordination and train the team to understand when needed Perform routine inspections, minor repairs, coordinate calibration of critical systems Maintain accurate logs, checklists, and records for daily operations and preventive maintenance Verify and sign off maintenance, calibration and inspection work done Support audits, regulatory inspections, and customer visits by preparing documents and facilitating site access Ensure adequate stock of parts, equipment, and consumables Identify, assess and control risks (i.e. safety, environmental, operational) Back up and assist NOC where necessary Perform technical maintenance and troubleshooting activities associated with mechanical, electrical, fire protection, and cooling systems Execute action responses for all onsite operational incidents and ensure all remote requests are performed within SLA Ensure compliance with operational protocols, ISO standards, HSE and all regulatory laws and guidelines, including licenses and certifications Ensure uninterrupted operations before, during, and after maintenance work Manage and coordinate daily activities of vendors and contractors including access, permit to work, PM work, emergency support and spare part availability to ensure all systems operate within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and prescribed environmental setpoints Support Shift Lead to make critical decision for team with best benefit result for PDG Support Continuous Improvement Plan program for system performance and suggest improvement initiatives where necessary Assist to review design, operations, and maintenance of data center, including 8establish, sustain and revise SOP, MOP and EOP from time to time Attend daily operation meeting with SME, Vendors and Manager to update daily operation issue, outstanding activities, system capacity and energy usage Assist to monitor and control all critical data center parameters and utility consumption trends to ensure compliance with operating specifications, promptly analyzing and escalating any abnormalities or deviations Prepare necessary report in routine basis.
