A leading industrial, building and infrastructure construction company ranked among the top 30 construction companies in the world is looking for experienced Project Manager to be based in Kuala Lumpur with the opportunity to be relocated overseas to handle specialized design and build projects of industrial facilities, commercial/residential and infrastructure projects.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and be involved in the initial tendering stage until the end phase of construction execution.
- Accountable for overall project management in ensuring the quality, cost, statutory, safety and environment issues and project scheduling requirements are met.
- To support with the establishment of the overall success criteria for the project, including time, cost, technical and performance parameters
- To ensure effective project governance, processes and systems to be utilized throughout project.
- Responsible for the project planning, including producing the detailed project plan and the implementation of the master programme, manpower, materials & plant schedules.
- Define project objectives and oversee quality control throughout the construction project cycle.
- Overall responsibility for site administration, procurement, quality assurance and safety control.
- Lead regular project related meetings/site inspections (e.g. Project Review, Safety Walk, Site assessment, etc.) with project team members / clients / consultants / sub-contractors.
- Comply with client / consultant and applicable legal and other requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve quality, schedule, value engineering and cost reduction efforts.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent with 5+ years of construction project management experience leading multiple industrial or building construction projects
- Proficient with construction scheduling software such as Ms Office, Ms Project, or P6 Primavera.
- 3+ years' leadership experience working with Multinational project partners especially during tendering stage up to project completion.
- Understanding of compliance and quality assurance guidelines and best practices.
- Possess excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Display exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships and work collaboratively.
- Ability to manage stakeholders internally and externally (government and local authorities)
- Strong communications and interpersonal skill to lead a diverse team.
