- Responsible for and plans, organizes and manages the procurement process for all projects.
- Ensures that the procurement process is in adherence to company and client requirements, company policies and procedures to ensure successful delivery of project requirements.
- Proactively manage supplier relationships to deliver cost & cash results, to drive continuous improvement and position the company as a customer of choice.
- Negotiating with new potential suppliers for competitive pricing and terms.
- Monitor cost reduction target and procurement development.
- Handle and manages Project RFQs, commercial evaluations, PO award and PO administration to final delivery and PO close out.
- Work with internal engineering/ construction teams to identify critical material, equipment and services to be procured.
- Degree in Engineering and other related fields.
- Added advantage for any accredited certification in Supply Chain Management and Master's in Business (MBA) or Industrial Management.
- >12 years of working experience in purchasing or in similar capacity.
- Excellent data analysis skills with knowledge in ERP system.
- Possess strong business acumen.
- Proven strong leadership management capabilities and has at least managed a team of >8.
- Proficiency to fluently converse in Mandarin (read/ speak/ write) is an added advantage - of those candidates will be prioritised.
- Willing to be based in Pahang.
- Commodity experience: Engineering parts, mechanical components, MROs, familiar with managing subcontractors, external manufacturing, spares, plants equipment etc.
- Candidates should ideally come from industries namely petrochemical/ Oil and Gas, manufacturing and production, plantation, engineering or equivalent.
