Role Summary KINESSO is currently seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Staff Software Engineer to fill an immediate need. This individual will work with the technical team and internal clients to understand and analyze requirements to build and support data solutions. The candidate will have experience designing and developing highly scalable, high-performance solutions that power the insights and analytics need for our clients. This role requires an individual who has a passion for technology and media and is looking to apply this to further their experience in real-world business scenarios Key Responsibilities Lead technical discussions, providing insights, and aligning discussions with business objectives. Lead the execution of complex core practice tasks and delivering business value. Implement best practices that deliver measurable business value and enhance operational effectiveness. Develop documentation templates that ensure clarity and consistency across teams. Ensure compliance with standards and regulations that support business goals, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement. Lead cross-functional collaboration to enhance team outcome and deliver business value. Mentor senior engineers, providing guidance on complex technical challenges. Requirements Bachelor's degree in computer science 7-9 years of progressive software engineering experience 7+ years of Object-Oriented Design Concept 7+ years of experience with AWS cloud ecosystem 7+ years of progressive experience in distributed computing using modern tech stacks Experience with agile methodologies is highly desirable Experience in the modern tech stack is highly desirable: Java, SpringBoot, Maven, REST APIs Snowflake, SQL, DB schema modeling, Elastic Search Junit, Mockito GitHub, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes Proven experience in designing and building scalable RESTful APIs and microservices architecture Extensive experience with 3rd party API integration and system integration patterns Exposure to AI/ML concepts. Excel in time management, balancing multiple priorities for team success Strengthen team dynamics by leveraging individual strengths for collective success Adjust approaches and workflows to effectively support team collaboration in various work settings Skilled at influencing and guiding teams Experienced in data privacy, security, and compliance standards Able to stay ahead of the curve with new and emerging technologies Experience in ad tech is a strong plus Personal Attributes Proficient in English as a first language - both verbal & written Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with non-technical users. The ability to consistently deliver solid, successful solutions in short development cycles. A strong spirit of innovation, self-starter, independent, and with the ability to come up with solutions to meet business problems. Result driven, high enthusiasm and can work well with others. Strong desire to learn new things and pass knowledge acquired onto others. Able to manage own hours and work with a remote team environment.
