Automation Test Engineer Contract: 12 months (extendable) Location: KL Sentral Salary: Up to RM8,500/month Experience Required: 3-6 years We are seeking a skilled Automation Test Engineer to join our QA team in delivering high-quality, high-performance systems. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust test automation frameworks that align with business and technical requirements across both web and mobile platforms. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reusable automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium and Appium. Build and manage test suites for functional, regression, and non-functional testing. Execute automated tests, validate backend and frontend functionality, and conduct GUI and database verifications. Develop detailed test plans, scenarios, cases, and data based on business or technical specifications. Perform a range of testing types: smoke, regression, functional, non-functional, system, integration, and end-to-end. Identify, log, and track defects, facilitating defect triage meetings and driving timely resolutions. Ensure proper documentation handover from SIT/QA to UAT. Generate daily status reports and test summaries for stakeholders. Conduct root cause analysis of defects and suggest corrective actions. Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders. Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives). Mentor junior testers and support manual QA transitioning to automation. Recommend improvements to automation processes, tools, and strategies. Validate UI/UX across devices and screen sizes; ensure cross-browser compatibility using tools like Sauce Labs. Key Requirements: 3-6 years' experience in automation testing for web and mobile applications. Strong hands-on experience with Selenium, Appium, Postman, Jira (Sauce Labs preferred). Proficient in Java, Python, or JavaScript scripting. Familiarity with Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, API testing, SQL/database validation, and tools like JMeter. Exposure to cloud-based and cross-browser testing environments. Experience in General or Life Insurance domains is a plus. Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
