The Grant Data Analyst will play the role of a nalyzing , reporting and redefining the data into useful in formation and clear insights , supporting the needs of Grants Management team & business partners in the overall grant processes. Responsibilities include but are not limited to : Extract, organize and retain required grant related document softcopy for audit and verification purposes. Assemble, validate and retain required grant related information from various sources, including PO, Invoices, Quotations, payment reports, bank statements, etc. Modifies existing reports and/or develops new reports by analyzing databases, data sources, and structures for the benefit of users Develop monitoring tools and reports to ensure compliance with grant funding and reporting requirements Track and report on grant assets status, including GR/IR status, capitalization, payment status. Track and report on the grant non-asset status, such as manpower related expense (salary, training expense, etc), material and consumables related expense, etc Assist in design and development of data visualizations Communicate with various business partners and finance analysts on the data structure Ensure data quality by advising on data structure for new processes as they are built Support grant reviews by Grant Management Team with Global Operations, Finance Leadership and project owners on the grant status as needed Partner with Grants Accounting team for timely and accurate grant accruals Proactively highlight challenges on grants data to stakeholders and address risk and concern Perform other duties as assigned Key Skill/Competencies Advanced Microsoft Excel skills SAP & Ariba experience highly desirable Experience in data analysis & result oriented Excellent interpersonal skills Exceptional quantitative problem-solving skills, fluency with data management tools Ability to act and operate independently with minimal supervision / direction Ability to work under strict deadlines in a rapidly changing environment Ability to think broadly and connect-the-dot on complex matters Ability to manage change sensitively and in a collaborative manner Strong communications skills and ability to translate complex data concepts to non-technical and/or executive-level staff Positive outlook with a growth mindset and strong dedication to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities Experience in handling audits, dealing with external auditor or government authorities, is an advantage Education & Experience Bachelor and/or Masters' degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Management or related fields. At least 5 - 7 years of relevant working experience Work experience in Finance, Accounting, with exposure to Data Management within Finance or related fields would be helpful. Experience in developing and analyzing complex reports is an advantage. Experience with Data Management, including data mining, management and analysis, preferred Background in analytics, statistics, information management, financial/business analysis or related fields preferred. Experience in finance environment is preferred Strong knowledge on finance system s ( eg. forecasting tools, CAPEX tools), data extraction, automation, RPA & ac counting p ractices
