If you think this opportunity is right for you, we encourage you to apply!Job Description:Operational ManagementOversee daily operations of the solar PV plant, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to the NEDA agreement and local regulations.Supervise and coordinate activities of the 33kV chargeman, technicians, and operational workers to maintain plant efficiency and safety.Implement and manage preventive and corrective maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) and Security ComplianceEnforce strict adherence to HSE and security policies and procedures by all plant personnel and contractors.Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and promote sustainable practices within plant operations.Performance Monitoring and OptimizationUtilize SCADA systems and other monitoring tools to track plant performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.Analyse performance data to implement strategies that enhance energy production and operational efficiency.Prepare and present regular performance reports to Head Office and Management, highlighting achievements and areas for attention.Maintenance and Technical OversightLead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for equipment failures, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.Manage inventory of spare parts and materials, ensuring availability for maintenance activities.Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for specialized maintenance and repairs as needed.Team Leadership and DevelopmentProvide leadership and guidance to the plant team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.Identify training needs and facilitate professional development opportunities for staff to enhance skills and knowledge.Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.Stakeholder Engagement and ReportingMaintain effective communication with internal departments or operation units and external stakeholdersEnsure timely submission of required reports to regulatory authorities and other stakeholders.Represent the plant in meetings and discussions related to operational matters, project developments, and compliance issues.Budget and Resource ManagementDevelop and manage the annual operational budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources.Monitor expenditures and implement cost-saving measures without compromising on safety or performance.Oversee procurement processes for equipment, materials, and services, ensuring compliance with company policies and governance.Documentations and Reporting:Maintain accurate records of plant operations and maintenance, expenses, and timelines.Produce, compile and maintain accordingly accurate records of plant documentations and paper works. Documentation is not limited to reports, contractual documentations, permits, correspondences, forms, inventories, final project deliverables and other relevant documents and administrative works.Prepare, compile and maintain accordingly documentations for regulatory compliances, operation and maintenances.RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.Minimum 5 years experience in utility-scale solar PV power project development and execution, with at least 3 years in overseeing O&M activities.Technical Skills:Proficiency in SCADA systems, inverter troubleshooting, grid-connected PV installation and maintenance, and use of tools like PVSyst, Meteornorm and SolarGIS.KnowledgeFamiliarity with MV electrical equipment operation and maintenance and understanding of power plant regulations and standards.To apply, please submit your resume and cover letter outlining your interest for this role.
