Proactively pitch story ideas and press releases to media outlets to generate positive media coverage. Respond to media inquiries promptly and manage crisis communications, if necessary. Content Creation - Editorial and Social Media Develop compelling press releases, articles, and other written materials for media distribution. Craft persuasive and engaging content for various platforms, including social media, websites, and newsletters. Edit and proofread content to ensure accuracy and consistency in messaging. Reporting: Monitor and analyse media coverage and public opinion to assess the organisation's or client's public image. Develop strategies to address and counter any negative publicity or misconceptions. Proactively identify potential PR issues and provide recommendations for mitigation. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of PR campaigns and initiatives. Provide regular reports on key PR metrics, such as media coverage, social media engagement, and brandsentiment. Role requirements Bachelor's degree in public relations. Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related fields. Proven work experience in public relations including internships, preferably within a relevant industry or agency setting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities. Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Familiarity with media outreach tools and techniques. Proficiency in using social media platforms for PR purposes. Creative thinking and problem-solving skills. High level of professionalismandintegrity.
