Job description - Participating in MTEG planning sessions and Interfacing with the board design engineering teams and internal customers in documenting product requirements - Developing mechanical and thermal design concepts using CAD and Thermal Design software tools, and getting approval from the teams - Conducting static stress finite-element analysis of the mechanical system to ensure assembly functionality. Performing thermal simulations against component and system boundary conditions - Creating detailed production drawings, evaluating and testing of the prototypes and qualifying the mechanical and thermal hardware for the production build - Working with customers to get their feedback and set clear expectations of the products - Creating assembly instructions and providing assembly training to internal and external customers - Working with the low-cost Geo suppliers in achieving cost reduction - Driving action and closure on manufacturing issues impacting ability to deliver the products - Developing solutions to problems utilizing formal education, judgment and experience - Developing next generation validation thermal and socket technologies by working with the customers and the interconnect/thermal suppliers to solve the future validation challengesRequirements * Experience in using Pro/E Creo or Wild Fire 5.0 (Modeling, Assembly, Detailing, Sheet Metal, Mechanica) or Solidworks * Experience in Finite Element Analysis * Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) * Knowledge of PDM tools such as Windchill or Intralink experience in using basic Microsoft office tools * Knowledge and experience in component and platform/system thermals * Knowledge and experience in designing sheet-metal and plastic parts. * Knowledge and experience in thermal margining tools and controls * Knowledge and experience in other manufacturing processes * Experience in ECAD/MCAD managementBenefits Please get in touch with us for more information.Additional Information
