About the Role This role supports the design and delivery of high-impact HR initiatives that bring CIMB's people agenda to life and enable the broader transformation of the organisation. As part of the People Strategy function within Group HR, the role works closely with business units and enablers to translate strategic priorities into executable workplans and outcomes. It offers a unique opportunity to work with the Group Chief People Officer (GCPO) and senior HR leadership, gaining exposure to enterprise-wide priorities and leadership-level engagements. The role contributes to shaping strategic narratives, driving governance, tracking progress, and fostering cross-functional collaboration to ensure timely and effective execution. Responsibilities Strategy Development & Communication Contribute to the development and refinement of strategic HR initiatives and the People Strategy roadmap in alignment with the Bank's transformation agenda. Translate high-level strategies into actionable plans, ensuring clarity, alignment, and structured execution across teams and functions. Craft clear, compelling, and visually effective PowerPoint presentations that communicate ideas, progress, and impact to senior stakeholders, including the GCPO. Help shape and refine the overarching narrative behind key initiatives, connecting strategy to execution and outcomes. Execution, Tracking & Reporting Support the end-to-end execution of key projects and workplans, ensuring alignment with objectives, timelines, and quality standards. Assist in preparing project charters, workplans, and documentation to track progress and support effective delivery. Monitor project progress, maintain dashboards, and track outcomes against defined KPIs and success metrics. Analyze data to inform decisions and provide leadership with timely updates, insights, and recommendations. Champion execution discipline and drive timely delivery across initiatives. Problem Solving & Risk Management Identify challenges or roadblocks in project delivery, contributing to proactive solutions and escalation where required. Apply structured problem-solving and data-driven approaches to refine project plans and maintain momentum. Support risk identification and mitigation strategies to ensure successful execution. Governance, Documentation & Compliance Maintain comprehensive and consistent project documentation, including dashboards, reports, and progress updates. Prepare high-quality presentation materials and updates for leadership forums and senior stakeholder engagements. Ensure adherence to governance standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements. Uphold integrity and consistency across reporting, documentation, and delivery. Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration Engage stakeholders across Group HR, business units, and external partners to ensure alignment and drive execution. Organise and support meetings, workshops, and communications, tracking action items and ensuring follow-through. Work closely with the GCPO and senior HR leaders on selected initiatives and updates. Knowledge Management & Continuous Improvement Document lessons learned, best practices, and outcomes to build institutional knowledge and support future initiatives. Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration within the team. Recommend process and tool enhancements to improve delivery quality and team effectiveness. Continuous Learning & Developmen t Stay informed on trends, tools, and best practices in project management, strategy, and people transformation. Invest in personal and professional growth to align with the team's evolving needs. Other Responsibilities Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned in support of broader team and organisational goals. Success in this role requires structured thinking, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to connect ideas to impact. Strong communication and storytelling capabilities - particularly in crafting clear, compelling, and visually effective PowerPoint decks - are essential, alongside a disciplined, outcome-driven mindset and the ability to influence across functions. Qualifications Bachelor&aposs Degree or Professional Qualification in any discipline Relevant Work Experience 2-7 years of experience in project coordination, program support, or related roles, preferably within HR, strategy, or business transformation contexts Exposure to working in or alongside a Project Management Office (PMO), with a basic understanding of governance processes, reporting requirements, and project lifecycle frameworks Experience supporting cross-functional initiatives, with the ability to manage timelines, follow-ups, and stakeholder coordination in a corporate or regional setting Proficiency in using project tracking and collaboration tools (e.g. MS Project) Comfortable working with data and analytics; experience with Excel, Power BI, or similar tools for dashboards is an advantage Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize information clearly and concisely for various audiences Skills/Competencies Technical/Functional skills Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g. MS Project) Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables) and PowerPoint (e.g., narrative-building and visual storytelling) Basic proficiency in analytics and reporting; comfortable working with data to track progress and develop insights Familiarity with HR frameworks and practices is an added advantage, but not a requirement Personal skills Strong attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities Clear, structured communicator with strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement abilities Proactive and adaptable, able to operate in fast-paced, evolving environments Collaborative team player with initiative, a growth mindset, and a passion for meaningful contribution Show more Show less
