Product Specialist Based in JohorLife Unlimited. At Smith+Nephew we design and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living.The Product Specialist shall provide the relevant hospital or institution with scrub services as directed by and in accordance with the instructions of the relevant institution or hospital which are provided to the Company from time to time.The responsibilities shall include without limitation the following procedures during each relevant surgery for which the Product Specialist is required to provide Services (each a “Surgery”) Product Specialist shall comply with the relevant hospital’s policies, procedures, guidelines, and instructions. The Product Specialist shall be at the direction and under the supervision of the surgeon performing the Surgery.What will you be doing?Attend assigned hospital at least one hour prior to each surgeryEnsure availability and accurate set-up of Smith & Nephew products and instrumentsPlace accurate products in the operating room to avoid unnecessary exits during surgeryCheck sterilization and working order of Company's products before surgeryFollow assigned hospital's scrub policy for surgical preparationCount and document Smith & Nephew instruments and materials before and after surgeryUnderstand accurate handling and use of all Company's products and instrumentsClean and organize Company's instruments after each use, ensuring accurate return to logistics partnerInspect instruments and returned products for damage and report promptlyComplete UID form with confirmed pricing for billing purposesReport surgeon and hospital's usage of Smith & Nephew productsProvide feedback on Smith & Nephew products and competitorsAct responsibly to ensure personal and company safetyAlign with workplace safety, health, and security policyPerform any other duties assigned within the role as neededWhat will you need to be successful?Success in the role will require a combination of technical knowledge, soft skills, and a deep understanding of both the business and service-providing sides of an organization. Successful candidates would need the following:Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the operating room (OT).Knowledge of clinical segments/product platforms is preferred.You.
