- To manage financial transactions and maintaining accurate records, and
- To prepare, review, and analyse financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements on a regular basis.
- Prepare month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring adherence to established deadlines.
- To assist in the development and monitoring of the hotel's annual budget, ensuring that expenses are controlled, and revenue goals are met.
- Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions and identify discrepancies.
- Conduct monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accurate bank balances and payment records.
- Provide insightful financial analysis, variance analysis, and key performance indicators to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, prepare, and file tax returns, and liaise with external tax advisors when necessary.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard hotel assets and minimize financial risks.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; or a related field; ACCA, CPA or CA certification is a plus.
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in the 5-star hotel or hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge or accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
