About the Role You'll be joining as a Full-Stack Developer, helping build out our technology stack from the ground up. In this role you'll be part of a team building and maintaining features that enable independent businesses to collaborate on shared promotions. You'll be part of a team that owns projects end-to-end-from designing database schemas and integrating with RESTful APIs, to creating responsive UIs that delight our merchants. As an early team member, you'll have outsized influence on our product roadmap and technical architecture. Responsibilities Align your work schedule with USA Central Standard Time (GMT-6) hours Develop end-to-end features using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js), from technical design to deployment. Integrate e-commerce APIs (Shopify, Wix, Square, etc.) to sync data in real-time and power seamless retailer experiences. Maintain and optimize databases in MongoDB for performance and scalability. Implement best practices in code quality, testing, and DevOps to keep our stack reliable and secure. Contribute to architectural decisions, helping shape how our system evolves as we onboard more merchants and scale usage. Troubleshoot and debug production issues, ensuring minimal downtime and a smooth user experience. Must-Have Qualifications You must be based in Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, or Indonesia. 5+ years of hands-on experience building full-stack web applications in a professional environment. A high degree of proficiency in Node.js, Express.js, React, and MongoDB (or closely related tech). Familiarity with integrating third-party APIs, particularly e-commerce APIs (Shopify, Wix, Square, etc.). Strong understanding of web protocols, RESTful API design, and JSON data structures. Comfortable with Git-based workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure). Nice-to-Haves Experience with frontend styling libraries (e.g., Tailwind, Material-UI) or state management (e.g., Redux, Context API). Exposure to serverless architectures and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Knowledge of testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress) for both frontend and backend.
