Job Responsibility Overseeing the loading and offloading of goods. Prepare, inspecting, operate and cleaning the vehicle. Safely transporting goods to and from distribution centers. Obeying the rules of the road and following company safety regulations. Finding the quickest and safest route to each project site and warehouse. Completing daily trips (one way/return) logs. / Following accident procedures. Reporting immediately if any accidents or delays occured. Conducting minor roadside repairs on the truck. Ensure that the vehicle is always fueled and ready for use. Arrange for vehicle repairs as needed. Keep mileage records and repair records up-to-date Maintaining a good relationship with customers. Perform daily outbound operation tasks and any other assigned tasks and ensure on time delivery, material & quantity accuracy and material quality. Responsible on stock accuracy, stock take regularly in warehouse. Perform any other duties as assigned by the superior. Job Requirements Must posses valid GDL license for 3 tonne lorry 3 GDL Minimum 2 years lorry driving project site experience. 2 On job training will be provided Familiar with routes around Klang Valley Ensuring vehicles are mechanically sound and legally roadworthy Mechanical skills, such as changing the engine oil Ability to communicate with both suppliers and site and provide up-to-date information, such as delivery times Performing basic repairs and maintenance in the event of accident or breakdown while in transit Safely securing heavy loads and large goods for transport Organising the most efficient route from pickup point to drop off point Keeping informed of road closures, accidents and traffic diversions Organising multiple drop-offs and deliveries in each working day Supervising and assisting with the loading and unloading of deliveries into the lorry Updating vehicle log books, recording deliveries and tracking mileage Complying with all MOT and in-house regulations and rules MOT Self-motivated and able to work without supervision. Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia and able to interact with all levels of staff / sub-contractors. / Perform any other project duties as assigned by the superior.
