You will lead and manage network operations and design network architecture to support scalability and minimise downtime, while implementing robust security measures, engaging in network automation efforts, and conducting disaster recovery testingWithin this position, your scope will cover:
  • Leading and managing delivery of network operations and applications
  • Monitoring network performance and troubleshoot complex issues to minimise downtime and enhance reliability
  • Designing and implementing network architecture to support scalable and high-performing infrastructure.
  • Configure, maintain, troubleshoot and optimise network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, access points, and associated applications.
  • Perform network Moves, Adds, and Changes (MAC), document configurations and changes accurately.
  • Conduct onsite disaster recovery testing to validate network resilience and continuity.
  • Lead network automation initiatives using tools like Ansible to enhance efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
  • Act as the technical point of escalation for network support issues, participating in after-hours support as needed.
Your technical leadership will include:
  • Implement and maintain robust network security measures, including intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and manage firewalls (Juniper, Fortinet).
  • Manage and configure cloud networking (Azure Virtual Network) and SDN (Software-Defined Networking)
  • Proven experience routing and switching protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF)
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, access points, and network applications.
  • Manage and configure VPN technologies, including IPsec, SSL VPN, and GRE tunnels, to ensure secure remote access and site-to-site communication.
  • Manage and configure network security: Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS)
  • Proficient in using network monitoring and management tools (FortiManager, Juniper Mist, or equivalent).
  • Manage and configure cloud networking (Azure Virtual Network) and SDN (Software-Defined Networking)
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in a network engineering or equivalent technical role
  • Proven expertise in managing enterprise network operations and infrastructure
  • ITIL Foundation certification in Service Management (v3 or v4) is required.
  • Industry certifications highly regarded (CCNA, JNCIE)
